Nu Sentral, Making Your Transit Activities More Convenient

Nu Sentral (Slang for "New" Sentral) has been soft-launched on 28th March 2014. Like any other mall in Klang Valley, it locates various shops inside such as boutiques, convenience shops, and food courts. It is situated right after KL Sentral train station at Jalan Tun Sambanthan, Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

So what is the correlation between Nu Sentral and transit flow? Here it is :

Nu Sentral actually connecting between KL Sentral (Monorail line) and KL Sentral integrated station. Transit users from either station can reach the other station by passing through Nu Sentral.

Transit users can get to Nu Sentral from KL Sentral integrated station via provided escalators.

KL Sentral (Monorail line) is beyond the screen door, connected via pedestrian bridge

You can see the pedestrian bridge (in red circle) from monorail KL Sentral station

However, the pedestrian bridge connecting between Monorail station and Nu Sentral is yet to be opened to public due to upgrading process. In the meantime, transit users can use the outside route instead:

Users can cross the road underneath the bridge to get to and from Nu Sentral

Do not worry, you will be well-guided towards either stations via various signages provided inside the mall:

Tactile tiles guider for visually-impaired people are also installed inside the building:

Thus, you can make station interchange conveniently without being worried about bad weather and safety when crossing the road. In addition, you can do some window shopping too.

However, like any other shopping malls, Nu Sentral only will be opened for operation on 10.00 am, thus transit users have to use conventional route should they need to make station interchange before that time.

Happy travelling..!!

  1. Hi! Just came across your blog and find it very informative especially people who are not familiar with public transport in KL like me! I am an urban planning student, currently doing a thesis about public transport transit at KL Sentral. Do you mind to help me to answer a couple of simple questions regarding the transit facilities provided at KL Sentral? It would be so grateful if you don't mind to and thank you in advanced! :)
